We Are An American Girl Bitty Baby Party Host!

WAHOO!  Can you hear my excitement all the way from Kansas?!

Ms. Hannah and I were chosen to host an American Girl Bitty Baby Party through HouseParty.com!

I signed up with them several years ago, but never applied to host any parties...though I wanted to - they have some cool host opportunities!  So, when I saw they were in search of people to host an American Girl Bitty Baby party, I decided to give it a shot!  We'd be talking about getting Hannah an American Girl Bitty Baby this year for Christmas, and here was my opportunity to learn more!

And GUESS WHAT?!  We were selected to host!

We are having a party in early October. We've invited some of Hannah's (and my) friends over to play with American Girl dolls and learn more about Bitty Babies!  What could be more fun!?

I'll be sure to post more information closer to the date!  :)

Be sure to check out HouseParty.com to learn about hosting your own party!

First Day of School Printables

How in the world did this happen?  My baby is going to preschool this year?

Isn't she adorable?!

(Totally stole that idea off Pinterest...have them write their name each year. LOVE it.)

Last Monday night, when I was totally freaking out (truth:  bawling) that my baby was headed off to her first day of school the next day, I decided that I didn't like the 'First Day of School' printable that I had found months earlier on Pinterest. I know, I know, very last minute, but that's the way I roll. If it's not exactly what I want, why not make it myself right?

So, here's the quick printable I threw together.

Plus, I have made them up for each grade from Preschool through 12th Grade (with no year on them) to share with all of you!!!  Click here to download the individual signs.

Hannah loved school and was excited to go back again later that week!
Hoping for a great school year!

Alphabet Fun

Tonight’s project isn’t really a craft, but it’s something I quickly (and cheaply) threw together for Ms. Hannah to play with. She is three (and starts two-day preschool next week – how did that happen?!) and she is constantly asking how to write certain words and names. She knows all of her uppercase letters but hasn’t really done much with lowercase, so I thought I’d make her this cute little project to help her recognize each letter.

Found this idea through Pinterest (of course) on the blog From Kindergarten with Love and though I’d give it a whirl.

I already had some spoons in my pantry and vinyl in my craft supplies. I quickly ‘measured’ (eyeballed) how much space I had to put a letters on a spoon and then used my Silhouette Cameo to print out the alphabet in lower and uppercase on vinyl. I put the uppercase on the white spoon and then put the lowercase on the clear spoon. The bottom letters show through, so she can match up the uppercase with the lowercase.

The project didn’t cost a thing and seriously took me 10 minutes to make. The longest part was trying to line up each letter on the tiny spoon. Hoping Hannah will love the new little game I made her!

Has anyone out there created a learning game like this for their kiddos? I’d love for you to share!

Welcome

Hey ya'll!  Welcome to Late Night Crafts & Creations!

I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time now, and finally decided to take the plunge. So, Late Night Crafts & Creations was born!  I'm a momma to two adorable kiddos that definitely keep me on my toes. And once they head to bed, I break out the silhouette, the sewing machine, the glue gun or whatever I can get my hands on to start CRAFTING! :)  You can often find me working into the wee hours of the morning...but that's when I do my best work!

So, welcome.  Bare with me as I learn the ins and outs of the blogging world.  Hoping I can share some of my crafts and creations with all of you!
